International Commemoration Day
Workers in West Australia are being killed and injured at an alarming rate especially in our mining and construction sector. The rate is going up.

‘Samson and Delilah’ fundraising preview – a One World Centre fundraising event.
‘Samson and Delilah’ is a movie set in a central Australian Aboriginal community. The movie premieres nationally on 7th May, but on the 30th of April, One World Centre is having a special preview with writer/director Warwick Thornton present to talk about the movie after the screening.

ICAN – ‘Soldiers of Peace’ Screening
ICAN – the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons – will be holding a fundraising screening of the new documentary ‘Soldiers of Peace’ in Perth on May 8th. Soldiers of Peace illustrates beautiful and inspiring examples in which people and communities around the world are solving conflicts through active principles of non-violence. The current global challengers will require cooperation on a global scale unprecedented in human history. Peace is the essential pre-requisite because without it, we won’t be able to achieve the levels of cooperation inclusiveness and social equity necessary to solve these challenges. Narrated by Michael Douglas, this film features 14 inspiring stories from around the world.
